Autograph letter in ink signed by Galileo to Nicolas Peiresc, written from his home in Arcetri, Italy and dated May 12th, 1635
Although Galileo's correspondent is unnamed in the letter, Peiresc has been identified as the recipient based on the exchange of multiple letters between the two from this period and the thread of their letters' contents. This letter was delivered to Peiresc in Lyons, France through the agency of Roberto Galilei, a distant relative of Galileo
